Michael R. Herron is a native of Tampa, Florida who graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1986. Upon graduating, Michael joined the U.S. Army for 4 years and was accepted into an elite Airborne Infantry Unit.
Michael spent his first 2 years stationed in Vicenza, Italy and his military career culminated with a combat tour during Operation Desert Storm. His unit in Desert Storm was heralded for making one of the deepest penetrations into enemy territory as well as with the destruction of an elite Iraqi Republican Guard Unit.
After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the military, Michael earned a B.A. in History from The Florida State University and a Law Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
